CCA Stand Down
We will be standing down from CCA due to the upcoming SA1 and Preliminary Examinations with effect from 25th April 2009. There will be NO ACTIVITIES until the end of exams (around week 8/9). However, the clubroom may still be open after school as some of us like to study there, and as such feel free to go if you want to.
Good luck to all of us in the exams, and may we all score well!

Photography Course
Hi guys,
Been a long time since I posted any announcements. Took me quite a while too, since I forgot how to make new announcement. Last time I did this, was during the time I was in office =)
Back to point.
I'll be conducting a photography course for all those of you guys that are interested. I know the Sec 3s won't be available, so I'll conduct a separate one for the Sec 3s
I'm planning for the course be at the clubroom on the coming thursday, 2nd april at 2.15pm
I'll be taking in all Sec 1s and 2s that are interested. Though I'm capping this session at 10 students. If there's too many that wants to attend, I'll hold more sessions
The reason for doing so is that I need to let ppl have hands on try out on the spot, and we only have 1 camera, so I'll be limiting the number of students per session
Criteria to attend this course
1. Interest in Photography 2. Somewhat steady hands 3. Care for our camera 4. Ability to listen when I'm talking 5. All of the above
I'll put a piece of paper on the notice board. Those who do not write their name on the paper by Thursday when I take that piece of paper down cannot join the course
So please write earlier. Simple?
Places are limited. So hurry!

Something more
Hey guys! (:
Please do remember that IT Club provides only the basic level of training. It is imperative that each and every one of you explore and exploit the possibilities and potential of every tool or function that the software offers.
Please do your research on the Net to find out what interesting effects you can create, be it with Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver or any other software.
Just like practice makes perfect, you should practice your skills. You can come down anytime to the club room to do so, or do it at your own leisure. But make sure you do it.
Do not be satisfied with "just okay". As Victorians, we can always do better.
We are IT Club. But not just that, we are Victoria School IT Club. We are something more.
With that, nil sine labore.

Cleanup on Files
The Files Section of the website is getting too messy and disorganized over the years and it is time to do a cleanup!
I will be copying the files into a storage device and then perform deletion of ALL files.
With effect from 1st March 2009, Sunday, cleanup will begin.
The aim of this cleanup is to remove files deemed unnecessary and let us rethink whether the file is still relevant to be put on the Files Section.

It's Done. Camp Shirt Design

100% Cotton
You people haven't seen me in months, I wanted to focus on studies, but it didn't work out. I'm Jon Tan after all. Feel free to hate my guts.
So hello everyone! 33 pointer here.
That aside,
I've been informed less than 10 minutes ago that the camp planning wasn't going too well and that the T-Shirt hasn't been designed yet.
The planning seems to be going late but Newton's fourth law states " Every Decent Camp Has A Good T-Shirt". The laws of natures must be heeded, even if the shirt design is going "fashionably late". Pun intended.
Idea right now is to have a shirt that only says IT CLUB or CAMP 2008 in a small, unnoticeable corner. This so that the less "patriotic" members would be able to wear the shirt out as well, thus justifying the steep price of getting these shirts printed.
Please send all ideas and opinions and whatnot by MSN to:
natnoj_potato@hotmail.com
This site seems pretty dead so if you do see this tell your clubmates to do the same.
Wish us luck. We need a heck lot of it.
Yours Sincerely, Jon Tan (M.I.A July - November)
