The school was renamed Victoria Bridge School when it moved to new premises near Victoria Bridge (the site of the former Kota Raja Malay School). |

The first Annual Speech Day and the Guest-of-Honour was Mrs. Marriott. |
1929 |
The House System was introduced. |
1930 |
House Prefects were appointed to maintain discipline and to develop leadership qualities of the boys. |
1931 |
The school became the second Government Secondary School in Singapore. |
1932 |
Formation of the first Scout group, which was called the Sixth Troop under the leadership of Mr. R E Smith. |
1933 |
The school presented its first candidates for the Junior Cambridge Examinations. On 18 September, the school moved to the Tyrwhitt Road premises and was renamed Victoria School. |
1934 |
The school presented its first candidates for the Senior Cambridge Examinations. |
1939 |
The school won the prestigious inter-school Sir Arthur Young Cup for Athletics. |
1940 |
The school won the Sir Arthur Young Cup for the second time. Ali bin Ahmad won the 100 yd in 10 secs in the Amateur Athletic Association meet and had his name etched in the Hall of Fame. In March, the school motto "Nil Sine Labore" was adopted. The Prefect Badge was also introduced. |
1941 |
The Old Victorians' Association was formed. |
1942 |
The school was renamed the Jalan Besar Boys' School by the Japanese authorities and the medium of instruction was Japanese. |
1948 |
A former science master of the school Mr. R F Bomford became its Headmaster. Under his leadership the school flourished. |
1950 |
Mr. Bomford planned and designed the Science block, the first in Singapore. |
1951 |
The Post School Certificate Sixth Form Classes (Pre-U Classes of today) were started and Victoria School saw its first female students. |
1954 |
Mr. Michael Campbell was appointed Principal. He built upon the achievements of Mr. Bomford to make Victoria School second to none in academic achievements. |
1955 |
The school recorded a 99.5% pass rate at the Cambridge Overseas School Certificate Examinations, making it the best boys' school in Singapore. The school won the Sir Arthur Young Cup for the third time. |
1956 |
Kesavan soon became the only schoolboy to run in the Olympics and was voted the most popular athlete in Malaya. |
1957 |
Two of the three Queen's Scholarships wee awarded to Teh Ee Kheng (for Arts) and Yap Choon Teck (for Science) of Victoria School. The school also had best results in the University Entrance Examinations. |
1975 |
Suresh Sahadevan scored 8 distinctions to become Singapore's top student. |
1981 |
The first school to win all three Age Divisions in the National Athletics Meet. |
1983 |
The School Executive Committee (SEC) was formed on 16 April. All its members, including its first chairman Mr. Wong Hung Khim, were old boys of the school. One of the major achievements of the SEC was the founding of Victoria Junior College in 1984. |
1984 |
The school moved to its present premises in Geylang Bahru Lane on 18 November 1984. |
1986 |
The school achieved 97.5% for 5 'O' Level passes. This is the highest ever attained since 1955. |
1987 |
Teo Cher Min obtained a perfect score of 9 A1s to become one of Singapore's top students. |
1988 |
The school achieved dramatic qualitative improvement in the GCE 'O' Level results for 6 and more 'O' Level passes. 75.5% of the pupils scored 8 or more 'O' Level passes and 45.5% scored 9 or more 'O' Level passes. |
1989 |
The school launched the Alpha List (of Victoria Achievers). There were 34 members in the first Alpha List. The school also joined the ranks of the few selected schools receiving ASEAN Scholars. |
1991 |
Extension to existing Victoria School building in preparation for single-session schooling to commence in 1992. |
1992 |
The school ranked 15 in the first ST Ranking exercise. |
1993 |
The school obtained 100% 5 'O' Level passes. Mandeep Singh, the top scholar, scored 10 A1s. |
1994 |
The school ranked 6th in the ST Ranking exercise. |
1995 |
The third Victoria Challenge was held on 7th April. The Minister for Education, Mr. Lee Yock Suan, was the Guest-of-Honour. |
1996 |
The school celebrated its 120th year of founding. The theme of the celebrations was "Victoria is Something More". |
1999 |
The Minister of Education, Radm (NS) Teo Chee Hean, announed plans to redevelop the new Victoria School at Singlap Link. |
2000 |
The minister of State of Education, Dr Aline Wong, unveiled plans for VS to start Gifted Education Programme class in 2001 |
2001 |
Victoria School celebrates her 125th Anniversary. |
2002 |
Victoria School maintain the record of having won at least one division of national cross-country championships for the 9 conceptive years. |

The school move to a new premises in Siglap Link on May 2003. |
