Review

Podcast is useful and can be used for many uses which we might not have thought of before. It could be used for public services, education, entertainment, news, music, publicity, marketing, health and many others. Some examples are, it enables absent students to obtain information of the classes they missed if the teacher did record the lessons and made them available for students to listen to. Teachers can also record books talks or other language lessons and make them available for students to listen to.
Mr brown talks are considered as entertainment podcasts that Singaporeans can listen to in their free time.

Podcasts’ main advantages are that it is portable, convenient and is low in cost. The most important advantage is that individuals can choose when and where they can listen to them. They will no longer be dominated by the schedules of broadcasts. They can simply listen to the podcasts almost simply everywhere and anytime by the means of MP3 or other media devices.

Podcasts do have downsides. They cannot show images or graphs to enhance visual impact. Most of the time they require the internet to download them and are not totally perfect for broadcasting complicated stuff as the listeners might not be able to comprehend well. Person to person communication is still the easiest method whereby one can explain when the other is confused.
